JOB DESCRIPTIONS
Several Leadership
positions are
necessary for a Cub
Scout Pack to
function properly
and Successfully
PACK COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN- JOHN BAKER
members, approves bills before payment by the treasurer. Helps  charter , roundup and registration of members. Conducts the annual pack planning conference,
Helps see that new dens are formed. Maintains pack records and property, manages financial records Serves a cub master  when cub master absent.  
Packs can operate with only 3 on committee but 7 or more makes for a more stable pack.  Makes recommendations to Charter organization for pack leadership.  
Recruits Cub Master and Assistant Cub Masters.  Provides adequate facilities for pack meetings.  Coordinate the pack program with the charter organizations
program, help with charter renewal. Supervise finances and equipment.  Work with Cub master.
CUB MASTER-  bE ABLE TO communicate with adults and children, delegate responsibilities, conduct fun monthly pack meetings., help with annual
planning and use  impressive ceremonies.
ASSISTANT CUBMASTER-  Help the Cubmaster as needed and fill in when necessary.  participate in pack meetings, supervise den chiefs.  Conduct
Den chief planning meetings.  Help with pack activities, outings and annual planning.  promote religious emblems
SECRETARY-
Keep informed of all Cub Scouting Literature, materials, records and forms to help leaders function effectively.. Help Den leaders by telling them what resources
are available. Maintain up-to-date information on membership, leadership, attendance and advancement in the pack records.  Maintain an inventory of pack
property.  Handle correspondence for the pack, including letters of appreciation, requests for reservations, ordering supplies, and etc. Keep notes on business
meetings.  Notify leaders of the meetings and other activities.
TREASURER.
Help plan the budget,  Maintain bank account and tranactions signed by 2 of either cubmaster, committee chair, secretary or treasurer. Approve budget
expenditures.  pay all bills by check.   Keep up to date financial records Enter all income and expenditures under proper budger item in the finance records
ADVANCEMENT CHAIR-
Have a working knowledge of advancement plans for each age group.  help plan and conduct recognitions.  Arrange for graduation of the pack with the
cubmaster.  Promote the use of advancement charts.  promote the use of den doodles.  collect den advancement reports use for ordering badges and insignia.
OUTINGS CHAIR-
hELP THE CUBMASTER PLAN AND ARRANGE FOR OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES.,Arrange property, fire, and tour permits when required.  locate new picnic areas.   
arrange for safe transportation.  Plan for first aid.  Help Webelos plan for overnight campouts. Arrange for Safe Swim Defense. Plan outings to help pack qualify
for summertime award. Makesure at least one adult has completed Baloo.  help promote daycamp and resident camps. use the Guide to Safe Scouting.
PUBLIC RELATIONS CHAIR-
sTIMULATE PACK SERVICE PROJECTS IN THE CHARTERED ORGANIZATION.  promote family participation in all events.  Circulate  leaflets  to invite boys to
join.  Provide pack announcements in  web sites, newspapers and etc.
MEMBERSHIP CHAIR-
Prepare re-=registration papers and an annual report to the charterd organization.  secure signatures and fees.   arrange for uniform inspections at least a
month before charter expiration.  have a charter review meeting. plan a charter presentation. Visit with new families in their homes. Review with them the bobcat
requirements and parents guide.  Work with Cubmaster for potential den chiefs.
PACK TRAINER-
Conduct new orientation of new families and pack leaders. help train new leaders encourage ongoing training and keep track of pack training records.
TigerCub,Cub Scout,Webelos Den Leaders- Run agegroup meeting with 8 to 10 boys and attend monthly den leader meetings
Assistant Tigercub,Cub Scout and Webelos leaders.- Assist the den leaders with the program and be the leader in their absence.
